Welcome to Derwent Estate Wines

PanoramaThe historic 'Mt Nassau" property has been in my family since 1913. We planted our first vines 23 years ago.
In 2013 we decided we buillt an on-site winery. We are now reaping the rewards of these decisions.
As the 2016 vintage draws to a close - we hope you can share the journey with us!

We came away with 3 trophies including (in a Tas Wine Show first) a tie between Derwent Estate and Brown Brothers (made up of their 3 brands Tamar Ridge, Devils Corner and Pirie). Chief judge Huon Hooke described this as a "David and Goliath" story.

Highlights
Trophy - Most successful exhibitor (shared with Tamar Ridge/Devils Corner/Pirie)
Trophy - Best White Wine (2014 Calcaire Chardonnay)
Trophy - Best Chardonnay (2014 Calcaire Chardonnay)
2 Top gold medals 2014 Calcaire Chardonnay and 2015 Late Harvest Riesling
